Community for Human Resource Development specializes in helping people with physical and intellectual disabilities, become work ready by assisting them in obtaining and maintaining employment. The program then partners with businesses looking to hire individuals as reliable employees, they can count on. If needed, we provide one-on-one, on-the-job training and support for individuals, helping them to get acclimated to their new role and responsibilities. In high schools our 'Transitions Program' helps students with disabilities develop the necessary life skills to plan for life, after graduation.

Job Placement & Work Experience Training
Our team of experienced career advisors will provide individualized assistance in finding an appropriate job match, and establishing extended services/ long term support within the work environment.
Our, on-the-job, Jobs Skills Trainers teach skills, reinforce skills, establish and set up accommodations and/or compensatory techniques to increase the customer's independence and ability to meet the Work Experience site's expectations; and monitoring to ensure the individual and the employer's needs are being met.
Work Adjustment Training
The WAT Training is designed to improve work behaviors and enhance interpersonal skills of the individual while they perform competitive employment in a structured environment.
Summer Earn And Learn (SEAL)
The (SEAL) Summer Earn & Learn program helps students with disabilities to gain hands-on paid work experience for at least five weeks. With the support of CHRD, students receive the help they need to, acquire knowledge and experience, that will help them succeed in education after high school and in their future jobs.
Bundled & Non-Bundles Job Placement Services
An individual can receive one or more of the Non-bundled Job Placement services.
Our job placement specialist must implement training activities to meet the individual's needs, including, but not limited to, literacy and disability needs. Although all training individualized, it may be provided in an individual or group setting.
Autism Endorsement
Our Job Placement Specialist has specialized knowledge and skills to teach individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Assist with characteristics, assessments, evidence-based practice, and strategies for effective instruction and collaboration.
VAT (Vocational Adjustment Training)
VAT Job Search Training is a curriculum that helps individuals up to age 22, learn and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to prepare for a job search to obtain employment in entry-level positions.
Supported Employment Services
Our SE Services provide individualized assistance in finding an appropriate job match, provide ongoing support services, and establish extended services, sometimes called long-term supports, for the individual to maintain a long-term competitive integrated employment outcome.
Pre-ETS (Pre-Employment Training Service)
The five Pre-ETS categories are: 1.Job exploration counseling 2.Work-based learning
3.Counseling on post-secondary opportunities, 4.Workplace readiness training, and 5.Self-advocacy. These services are administered on an individual basis, so everyone may not need all five services.
CPA (Career Planning Assessment)
The CPA evaluator conducts an assessment to evaluate an individual's work skills to determine support needs. The evaluation observes the customer in their natural work environments, such as home or in the community.
Skills Training To Employment Project (STEP)
STEP allows individuals with limited work experience to build work skills that meet the employer's entry level requirements. STEP also allows employers to observe the performance of these individuals firsthand, providing confirmation to the employer that the individual can perform the essential requirements of the job.
Environmental Work Assessment
The EWA evaluator assesses the customer's skills for at least 2 hours in 3 or more work environments, of their choosing, and that lines up with their interest and employment goals.
